Creatine, what is it actually?

Creatine is a substance that is naturally already present in our muscles. We get creatine from our diet, to be precise from meat and fish. The development process of creatine in the body takes place in the liver and pancreas by means of 3 amino acids: Arginine, Glycine and Methionine. The content of creatine in our body is on average between 180 and 200 grams. These are mainly absorbed in your muscles, but unfortunately, this amount is not enough to benefit from them during exercise.

Creatine is important when it comes to the contraction of our muscles. Creatine allows you to relax and tighten a muscle longer and more often. Your acidification is delayed by the ATP (Adenine Tri Phosphate) that creatine contains. So you can do more repetitions with exercises.

Why creatine?

The main reason for consuming creatine is its ability to increase muscle concentration. As an athlete, you benefit from it because your body retains the higher concentration for a longer period of time. This allows you to train longer and do more repetitions than before. By using creatine you will notice that you develop just a little extra strength so that you can lift a little heavier than before.

The result of this is that you get more out of your exercises, but doing more repetitions creates small tears in your muscles. This makes it very important that you get enough protein for the recovery and growth of the muscles.

Benefits of Creatine

As mentioned before, there are many benefits to using creatine. We will now list them. The advantages are:

• Creatine helps to increase your total muscle mass

• It ensures better communication within the cells

• Creatine can contribute to brain health

• It can increase the duration of your workout

Creatine with CBD

The combination of creatine with CBD provides extra energy and strength to the muscles during training where necessary. More water and nutrients are drawn into the muscle cells, causing the cells to increase in size and volume. Due to the better hydration and the presence of sufficient nutrients, the muscle cells are strengthened, recovery stimulated and more fuel is available for the muscles.

We at CBD + SPORT sell both creatine without and with CBD. Interested? Feel free to take a look at our range!
